New Jersey Doctor James W. Dubel Named Chiropractor of the Year by Sherman College
Middletown/Red Bank, NJ, chiropractor Dr. James W. Dubel was recently named Chiropractor of the Year by Sherman College of Chiropractic in appreciation of his outstanding contributions, time and commitment to the chiropractic profession, the public and the college. Dubel was recognized Memorial Day weekend in Spartanburg, SC, as part of the college’s annual homecoming program.
ShermanCollege’s Chiropractor of the Year designation is an honor bestowed upon a chiropractor who has, through his or her service, given extraordinary time and effort to advance Sherman College and the chiropractic profession.
Dr. Dubel is founder and has served as coordinator of New Beginning for a New Future, a chiropractic philosophy program, since 1990. In addition, Dr. Dubel has guest lectured at several chiropractic colleges, including Sherman, and is a certified chiropractic continuing education speaker who has held the platform at various national state and local chiropractic organizations. He has served the profession in this capacity in addition to being director of Health in Hand Chiropractic Center in Middletown/Red Bank since 1980, when he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and education from Monmouth College.
Dr. Dubel is a member of the Sherman College Board of Regents, a group of individuals dedicated to supporting quality chiropractic education. He is also a member of the International Chiropractic Association, Council of New Jersey Chiropractic, Garden State Chiropractic Society and the Federation of Straight Chiropractors and Organizations. He is president of the board of New Beginnings and president of the “Cruisin’ with the Oldies” charity event. He and his wife, Barbara, live in Shrewsbury and have three children: Palmer James, Stephanie Victoria, and Hunter Evan.
Sherman College named its 2010 award recipients May 27-29 as part of its Lyceum, an annual continuing education and homecoming event which is attended by hundreds of chiropractors throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held on the college’s campus in Spartanburg, SC, and involves three days of seminars, special events and other programs.
NEW BEGINNINGS SHATTERS NJ CHIROPRACTIC ATTENDANCE RECORDS
Over 300 Chiropractors and staff participated in this weekend's extraordinary New Beginnings Meeting in Long Branch, NJ. Held at the luxurious beachfront Ocean Place Resort & Spa, the meeting exceeded all expectations in attendance, content, and energy. Special presentations by Dr. Guy Riekeman, President of Life University; Dr. Gary Walseman, President of the International Chiropractors Association; Bill Esteb, nationally renowned patient education expert; and Dr. Reggie Gold (who needs no introduction), highlighted the all-star ensemble of over 20 speakers. With the general public turning away in droves from dangerous drugs and medical procedures, the future of Chiropractic has never been brighter. Unlike meetings that promote how to sell more "stuff" to their existing patients, attendees left this meeting excited to have the tools, information and mindset they need to attract more patients. It’s no secret that some of NJ’s most successful chiropractors regularly attend and speak at New Beginnings.
Plan now to attend our next meeting on Sept. 30, Oct. 1, 2 & 3, 2010. Due to the unprecedented number of chiropractors already pre-registered, we expect the largest meeting in our 20 year history.
